Step-by-step guides for connecting analytics tools to WordPress.

1. Connecting Google Analytics 4

Locate your Measurement ID (`G-XXXXXXXXXX`) inside Google Analytics Admin under Data Streams. Paste this ID into Settings > MetricMint > Integrations > GA4.

2. Setting Up Google Tag Manager

Same steps as Settings → MetricMint → Google Tag Manager in the WordPress plugin:

  1. Sign in at tagmanager.google.com.
  2. Select your container, or create one for this website.
  3. The Container ID (GTM-XXXXXXX) is shown at the top of the workspace, next to the container name.
  4. Paste it here, switch Enable on, and Save. Both the head and body snippets are added for you.

In the MetricMint app, paste the Container ID on the Google Tag Manager tool page and activate — or use WP Admin as above.

3. Exclude Internal Traffic

Navigate to Settings > MetricMint > Settings. Check the user roles (e.g., Administrator, Editor) you wish to exclude. MetricMint suppresses tracking scripts when those users are logged in.
