Privacy Policy

MetricMint is operated by &Pixels. This policy covers the getmetricmint.com web app and the MetricMint WordPress plugin. It describes what we actually collect, not what we might one day collect.

The short version

• We do not collect analytics about your site’s visitors. Those go directly from your visitors to whichever provider you enable, under that provider’s terms.
• The WordPress plugin sends nothing to us until you connect it with a license key.
• This website uses Google Analytics to measure its own traffic. That is separate from the plugin and never runs on your site.
• We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.

If you have a MetricMint account

We store the following so the product can work:

• Account details: your email address, and any name, avatar, and location you choose to add.
• Connected data sources: when you connect Google Analytics, Google Search Console, or Microsoft Clarity, we store the access credentials needed to read those reports on your behalf, held encrypted. You can disconnect at any time, which deletes them.
• Reporting data: the metrics we retrieve from those services on your behalf, so your dashboards load without re-querying every time. This is aggregate reporting data, not individual visitor records.
• Billing: subscription status and plan. Card details are handled by our payment processor and never reach our servers.
• Support messages: anything you send us through the Happiness Center.

What the WordPress plugin sends

Nothing, until you enter a MetricMint license key in the plugin. Before that, the plugin makes no requests to getmetricmint.com and reports nothing about your site. Every local feature works without connecting.

Once you enter a license key, the plugin sends us:

• your site address and its WordPress administration email address;
• the plugin version and whether the master switch is enabled;
• which integrations you have enabled and the Google Analytics measurement ID, if one is set;
• your license key;
• a random token the plugin generates and stores on your site, which identifies that installation to us.

This happens when you connect the site, once a day after that, and when you save the plugin settings. We use it to link the site to your account, send back the configuration you assigned to it, and find your install when you contact support. Removing the license key stops it. The full technical breakdown is in the plugin’s readme under “External services”.

Separately, if you submit the Founder’s Club waitlist form inside the plugin, the email address you type is sent to us and added to our product mailing list. That is the only thing that form does.

Your site’s visitors

When you enable an integration, that provider’s script or verification tag runs on your site and may collect visitor data under its own terms (Google, Microsoft, Hotjar, and so on). That data goes to them, not to us. You are the controller of your visitors’ data and are responsible for disclosing those services in your own privacy policy; the plugin includes suggested wording under Settings → Privacy.

Visitors to this website

getmetricmint.com uses Google Analytics 4 to measure its own traffic: which pages people read, roughly where they arrived from, and whether the site is working. Google sets cookies to do that and processes what it collects under its own terms. We use it to understand how this marketing site performs, and for nothing else.

This is separate from the plugin. It runs on this website only, never on your site, and it is not connected to any analytics property you configure in MetricMint. You can block it with browser tracking protection, a content blocker, or Google’s own opt-out browser add-on.

Who else touches your data

We use a small number of providers to run the service: hosting and application infrastructure, a managed database, a payment processor, an email delivery service, and Google Analytics for traffic measurement on this website. They process data on our instructions only. We do not sell personal data or share it for advertising.

How long we keep it

Account and reporting data is kept while your account is open. Delete your account and we remove it, along with any connected credentials. Support messages are kept so we have the history if you write in again. Backups roll off on their own schedule.

Your choices

• Disconnect any data source at any time from the app.
• Remove the license key to stop the plugin contacting us.
• Ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it.
• Unsubscribe from product email using the link in any message.

For any of these, write to us through the Happiness Center.

Changes

If we change what we collect, we will update this page and move the date at the top. Material changes will be announced in the app.
